Chapter 5, The Insanity of Luther

"Love God? Sometimes I hate Him." This is a strange quote to hear from the lips of a man respected for his religious zeal as Luther. But he said it. He was noted for making outrageous statements. "Sometimes Christ seems to me nothing more than an angry judge who comes to me with a sword in His hand." -Pg 75

Wow! could you imagine uttering such things against God? Not me! Well lets wade in and find out what ole' Luther was talking about.

Sorry for the late Post. Home computer got virus and has wiped out an ICS file or something like that.

  1. I sometimes wonder is it harder to be a believer if you are of high intelligence. If you are avg to low, like myself, I will question those things I don't understand and without revelation I easily consign my beliefs to "I will not understand the things of God this side of Glory". However, for intelligent people I think they can't let go with out an explanation. So it leads to unbelief or doing great things for God.

  2. I would be scared to say such a thing about God. If I were to hear someone say that, I think I would quit listening to him or taking him serious.
